“I just feel that I am on this amazing journey, and that I am at the very beginning…..”
These are the words of a young woman who joined the Christian journey recently. She is one of 40 people in Scotland interviewed about how they came to faith in Jesus Christ in the past two years.
Some started with no understanding of Christian faith, but many had some notion of God in the background. The triggers for starting the journey of discovery were usually people they respected for their honesty or love of life. Finding a church that was welcoming and accepting certainly helped. Some had joined others who were exploring the meaning of life and the Christian Way through the popular Alpha course or something similar. All of them had come to realise that the Christian Faith is about a relationship with God through Jesus Christ. It was not about keeping a set of rules or keeping up appearances. They could be honest with God about who they were, and discovered that God loved, forgave and accepted them.
People who have been on the journey for longer, can back up those discoveries. People across Scotland are finding faith today. Jesus Christ is alive and well in 21st century Scotland.
We are committed to travelling with people who want to join that journey.
