Lighten Up is our Sunday morning group for young teenagers. It is aimed at children between the ages of 11 and 15. Children join the church service at 10.30am and sit with their families or those who brought them for the first part of the service. We then leave as a group during the service for a time of discussion.

One of the ideas behind Lighten Up is to encourage the children to use their minds as well as their feelings as they consider and respond to God and the Bible. Topics we have discussed include the primary purpose of mankind, and who, what and where is God. We also spend part of our time each week discussing what these topics mean for us in our daily lives. Currently we are studying the book of Romans and considering who Paul was.

We also have fun out and about. We’ve been ice skating, out for pizza and rolled our Easter eggs! Why not come and join us!
