Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” Matthew 19:14
Lack of love for the young, both in the home and in the community, is all too common nowadays. The vulnerability of young of all ages to the pressures and evils of the world makes it vital for a church community to nurture and protect its own from the struggles of infancy through to adolescence and beyond.
At Newhaven Church we take our responsibility for young people seriously and provide activities for all ages, both in a Sunday School setting where the Christian gospel is taught through words and actions, and in activities outside the church. Meanwhile we adults hope to learn a little of the kingdom of heaven from our charges!
